Produced by Philip Knatchbull & Henry Thomas these short films were each shot in a two day schedule.
We shot on 35mm and printed optically. These copies are from VHS so the quality is sadly lacking.Director Sid MacCartney wanted the whole picture in monochrome except for one shot, in colour, of a striking match. As this film was pre DI we shot on monchrome stock then printed this onto colour stock. We were unable to test before shooting so the result was a very high contrast effect which we all loved. The film stars a young Timothy Spall and Caroline Quentin as well as Peter Seller’s sidekick Graham Stark. The projection room was built as a set and the cinema foyer was shot at the Electric in Notting Hill before it was renovated.
